Reimbursement Rates
Providers enrolled in the FoodCare Program are eligible to receive reimbursement for serving meals and snacks that meet the United States Department of Agriculture's meal requirements.
There are two different reimbursement rates called tier I and tier II rates. At a minimum, a provider will receive tier II rates. Some providers are eligible to receive tier I rates.

Reimbursement can be provided for up to 2 meals and 1 snack, or 2 snacks and 1 meal per child each day the child participates in the meal/snack service. Children through the age of 12 years (15 years for migrant children) are eligible to participate in the program. Children over the age of 12 years with medically determined disabilities in some instances are eligible to participate in the USDA FoodCare program.
