Comments: Cool temperatures finally arrived this morning. Instead of dealing with 80 degrees from the start, all I had was 62. It remained relatively cool for the first few hours. I almost went on the wrong road a couple of times, but found my way okay. The temperature rose in the afternoon near 85. Although it wasn't as warm as yesterday, I still needed some relief from the heat, so I quit before 3 PM again with just over 105 miles. The roads were very hilly and winding with no shoulders which forced me to ride in the grass quite often due to the traffic quantities. I climbed about 6,750 feet which is really high for 105 miles. As always, I was honked at by a bunch of people who thought I shouldn't be there. However, someone also stopped me who was interested in my trip. I forgot to tell them that I have a web site. It would have been neat if they could have seen it. I rode through portions of four states today: Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Tomorrow is supposed to be near 100 with a higher heat index so I doubt if I'll get too much distance.
