Comments: I got up this morning and checked the Weather Channel and was disappointed to find that the LOW temperature was 80 degrees. I guess my chances for a cool morning were gone. It was still muggy and as soon as the sun was out for a while, it was really hot again. Whenever I would stop and get off my bike, the conditions were worse since there was little wind at first. As I continued I noticed that the flags indicated a south wind again. I thought to myself about how amazing it was that the weather forecasters were wrong this often. It seems like whenever they call for north winds, it always switches. Luckily, however, the winds did shift and I was able to go 20 mile stretches in little over an hour. There was a lot of glass on the road and the shoulders were not there except for gravel. I actually got to my hotel room in Pittsburg before 3. The weather is calling for lows under 60 tonight. I sure hope that's correct. My arms are sunburnt even with SPF 50 sunblock. I have all kinds of nice looking blisters all over as well. I hope the cooler forecast means the winds won't come from the south tomorrow. I may have to start doing shorter days if this heat persists. I have a feeling it's not the healthiest thing to ride up to 10 hours in these conditions.
