Traveled from Murray Bridge to Happy Valley

Today was a relatively short day.  I slept in until about 8 or so when I left Murray Bridge.  Originally I was going to take the M1 Freeway to Happy Valley (a suburb of Adelaide).  However, when I got to that point, there was a "Bicycle Prohibited" sign.  This was crazy because earlier I was allowed to be on the freeways when I was in a much busier area near Melbourne.  It always seems a little odd to me that bicycles can't be on a road with HUGE shoulders like that.  Anyway, then I opted to take a road which angled off to the southwest a bit.  I wanted to head northwest in general so this was a little out of my way.  This wasn't too big of a deal though since I had such a short day in front of me.  The land was quite hilly in this area today.  I made it to Happy Valley in pretty good time....around 1 or so.  I had previously talked to someone my pastor knows who lives in the area.  They graciously invited me to stay with them tonight, so I was looking forward to staying in an actual home!  I had a little trouble finding their address right away.  I stopped at a mall and bought a detailed map.  I found their place rather quickly after that.  I also bought mailed a few postcards I bought in Murray Bridge the day before.  I then found the Stephens' place.  They were really a joy to spend the evening with.  They took me on a tour of Adelaide and showed me the sights.  They took me to this nice restaurant where I tried the Kangaroo!!  It was a pleasure!  I am very thankful for their hospitality.
