DVCC SAFE HOME
The safe home provides emergency assistance to individuals and families escaping domestic violence/sexual assault.It offers the following:
For victims of domestic violence and sexual assault who are leaving an abusive realtionship (physical, emotional or verbal abuse).
Children may accompany their parent to the safe home.
18 beds can be utilized for a maximum of 30 days each
Assistance with protection orders
Crisis Counseling
Emergency food and clothing
Information and referral services
Children's program
Support Groups for women and children
Separate shelter facilities will be utilized for male victims and their children
Safe home residents may apply for the DVCC Transitional Housing Program
DVCC TRANSITIONAL LIVING
Transitional Housing provides temporary housing to women and their children who find
themselves homeless as a result of domestic violence.It offers the following:
8 secure apartments for up to 18 months of stay
Assistance with protection orders
Crisis Counseling
Emergency food and clothing
Information and referral services
Children's program
Support Groups for women and children
Residents monthly rent is based on a percentage of the family's gross monthly income
