Tiger Cub Uniform Changing

Effective August 1, 2004, the official Tiger Cub uniform will be the complete blue Cub Scout uniform with identifiable and appropriate Tiger Cub insignia. This change is in line with the program's continuing efforts to promote Tiger Cubs as an integral part of a Cub Scout pack. More information on the uniform changes will be forthcoming.

The History of Taps

Mrs. Dorothy Pence, a bugler in the Minot area with both the American Legion and VFW Honor Guards asked me to make the following Web site available to our Scouts to ensure that the correct history and presentation of Taps is known by our Scout buglers. She feels very strongly about this information as does the Aleshire family, who has a family ancestor in General Daniel Butterfield who is credited with writing the bugle call.
