Big 4 Camp Facilities

Big 4 Scout Camp, 4 miles west of Minot on County Road 17 (just north of Roughrider Campground) is available for Scout groups to reserve for den meetings, Courts of Honor, family camping, retreats, and more.

Big 4 features a BB gun and archery range (for District program use only), a pavilion/picnic shelter, a handicapped accessible latrine, a newly remodeled and heated cabin complete with a new stove and refrigerator, and a campfire ring.


In order to ensure that the facilities remain in good condition and are used within proper guidelines, we ask units to fill out a Big 4 Camp Use Permit two weeks prior to using the camp.

If you are out at Big 4 for any activity, for any length of time, it is important that you contact the Scout Office to let us know that you will be out there. This is for your own protection as well as keeping us informed as to who is using the Scout camp facilities on any given day.

There is always work to be done out at Big 4, so if your Scouts are looking for a service project, please contact us at the Scout Office to find out what needs to be done. We try to keep a list of Big 4 chores handy for our groups that would like to help us keep the facilities in good shape.
